Schedule 3: Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon 11pm - 7:30am

 

The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to those suffering from Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders. Substance Use Disorders are chronic illnesses, and treatment provided is based upon the presenting needs of the individual. Our goal is to help individuals and families begin the physical, emotional and spiritual healing process by utilizing compassionate, encouraging and evidence-based practices. We ultimately strive to guide individuals, and their families, towards a goal of living life to its full potential-free from addiction. 

As a licensed Security Officer, you will secure the premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points. The security officer will assist the center administration in its protection program and provide a safe and secure environment conducive to quality patient care. They enforce all established center and safety and security department policies and procedures related to the protection program concerned with physical and procedural security designed to safeguard personnel and prevent unauthorized access.

 

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Protects the staff and clients by using preventive techniques that reduce risk and facilitate safety.

 

Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.

 

Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

 

Obtains help by sounding alarms.

 

Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.

 

Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.

 

Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

 

Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

 

Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

 

Provide excellent customer service

 

Adhere to all company service and operating standards.

 

Remain in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

 

Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers

 

Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.

 

Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control, internal investigations, and accident investigations.

 

Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

 

Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.

 

Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.

 

Apprehend criminals and evict violators

 

Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.

 

Report in detail any suspicious incidents.

 

Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter.

 

Monitor and control access at building entrances, exits, and exterior observations. 

 

Watch alarm systems or video cameras, and or operate, detect, emergency equipment.

 

Perform first aid, CPR, Narcan, De-escalate drills, client satisfaction

  

     Escort client to destinations outside the facility.  (hospital etc.)

 

     Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

     

     Represents our agency in a professional, ethical, and positive way when interacting with clients, staff, and visitors

         

          Assist with limited smoking processes and protocols

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or Equivalent, GED  Required 

Current valid New York State Driver’s License preferred

Current New York State Security License  Required
